Apple Device Management - Using the Apple Self Service Hub

Overview

The Apple Device Management @ Texas A&M Self-Service Hub lets you easily install software, access help documentation and check for updates.

You access the Self-Service Hub the same way you access your other applications.

Self-Service Hub Home Page

The Home page includes 3 main sections.

  1. Featured: highlights applications and tools that are the most popular or most installed on campus.
  2. Browse: Lets you select a category to filter your view of available applications, tools or resources.
  3. Help: highlights how-to documents created to give you a more in-depth explanation of the new features.

Self-Service Hub Navigation

The Self-Service Hub has several other easy-to-access pages. Navigate to these pages by clicking the options in the left-hand column.

  • Browse: Allows you to filter your view of available applications, tools or resources.
    • All: includes every application, tool or resource in the Self-Service Hub.
    • Help: is the collection of Knowledge Base articles.
    • Featured: highlights the most popular applications and tools on campus.
    • Applications: displays all applications that are available to download.
    • Security: includes the Health Check tool and access to the Privileges app.
    • Updates: highlights the tool to manually check for application or OS updates.
  • Notifications: displays a notification if Self-Service detects a pending application update that has not been applied and will give you the option to apply it manually.
  • History: displays a history of events that Self-Service has logged.
