TAMU-Health Accessing Self-Service Portals

Overview

A self-service portal is available on Texas A&M Health computers that allows campus members to install a number of approved applications without requiring administrative privileges. Most applications in the self-service portal are either free of charge or open-source software. However, some applications require departmental or group licensing agreements and are included in the portal as convenient, current, and trusted installation packages. Contact your purchasing department or the Health Technology Care Team about licensing requirements for your unit. 

Self-Service Portal for Windows

  1. Click the Start Menu and type Texas A&M Software Portal.
  2. Click Texas A&M Software Portal in the list. 

     
  3. After a few moments, the Self-Service Portal will open with a list of applications available for installation. 

Self-Service Portal for macOS

  1. Click the Gig ‘em icon in the menu bar at the top right of your computer screen.
  2. Click Self-Service.

     
  3. A Self-Service Hub window will open. 
  4. For a list of available applications, click Browse
