TAMU-OAL - Using the Print Kiosks to Release Print Jobs in the Open Access Labs (OAL)

Overview

Releasing your print job is as simple as "Tap" or "Swipe" your TAMU ID card, select your document, and press print. Print Kiosks maintained by the Open Access Labs (OAL) allow students, faculty, staff, and some visitors (anyone with a NetID) to print. Click the OAL Printer Locations for more information.

Forgot your TAMU ID card? No problem, simply press the Keyboard button on the top right corner of the Printer Kiosk screens. You can use your NetID and password to log in and release your documents.

This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to use OAL Print Kiosks. Once a print job is sent from any OAL computer or personal device using AggiePrint or Pharos Print App, you can visit any of the OAL Printer Locations to release your printouts within a two (2) hour window after sending the document.

Color Printing on a Multi-Function Printer (MFP)

A Multifunction Printer (MFP) can print (Both Color and Black-and-White), make copies, and scan to email.

MFPs can print on three paper sizes: letter, legal, and Tabloid, providing versatile options for various documents. Paper size selections must be done before pressing print or uploading the document to AggiePrint
Default size: Letter (8.5" X 11")
Other size: Legal (8.5" X 14")
Other size: Tabloid (11" X 17")

When you are ready to release your print job, follow the next steps:

The documents will disappear after pressing Print or Print all. The funds will be deducted, and the printer will print.

When you are done printing, the printer will log you out within 30 seconds. If not, you can click on the home button, click your NetID, and log out.
