Setting up TAMU Gmail for Android
If the Gmail app is not currently installed on your device, you can download and install the app from the
Play Store
.
Once installed, open the application. Assuming you do
not
have any Gmail accounts already on the device, then you will be presented with a screen that says 'Sign In' at the bottom, select this option. If you
do
have an account on the device, then you just have to go to the
Profile Icon
at the top right of the application and tap on
Add another account
then follow the steps below from there.
You will then be presented with various account options. Tap on
Google
.
In the field, simply type in your Texas A&M email address (NetID@tamu.edu).
You will then be brought to the CAS mobile page. Type in your NetID and respective password.
After you click
Log in
, your Texas A&M Gmail account should officially be set up. You can begin using the application to look at and manage all of your emails related to your Texas A&M account.
Setting up TAMU Gmail for iOS
Apple Mail Client
Google Sign In
Open the
Settings
app on your iOS device.
Tap
Mail.
Tap
Accounts.
NOTE:
Steps 2-3 may vary depending on the iOS software version. These instructions are for iOS 14.2 . For older versions tap

.
Tap
Add Account
.
Tap
Google
. You're going to see a Google Sign In prompt.
Enter
your_netid@tamu.edu
for the email address and leave the password field blank. When you tap
Sign In
, it will redirect you to Texas A&M's Central Authentication Service.
NOTE:
If you do not see Google's
Sign in with your Google Account
prompt, you may be using an older version of iOS. If this is the case, you will need to use the Manual Configuration.
Sign in with your NetID credentials. iOS will now request access to your Texas A&M Gmail account.
Tap
Accept
.
Choose what content you would like to sync, then tap
Save
.
Google Gmail App
Before performing these instructions, you will need to
download the Gmail app from the App Store
.
Open the Gmail app.
Click
Sign In
.
Click
Google
on the Add Account screen.
Click
Continue
to all the app to access your information.
Enter your
NetID@tamu.edu
email address. You will be automatically redirected to a TAMU CAS login screen.
Enter your
NetID
and your
NetID password
.
Authenticate via Duo. Your
NetID@tamu.edu
Google account should now be listed.
Click
Done
. You should see your Texas A&M Gmail inbox.
