Overview
Texas A&M Exchange Email is an email service provided by the Texas A&M Technology Services. It can be accessed online at https://outlook.office.com/ as well as by desktop and mobile email clients. For macOS, the Apple Mail app can be used to access the Texas A&M Exchange Email servers.
Removing Exchange from Apple Mail
Removing your Exchange account from your email client will remove only the information stored on your local device. Email that is stored on the Exchange server will not be deleted by this process.
- Open the Mail App for macOS.
- Click on Mail in the menu bar.
- Click on Account....
- Click on your Exchange account.
- Click the minus (-)symbol in the lower left of the window.
- Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the account.
Re-adding Exchange to Apple Mail
When setting up your Exchange account, it may take several minutes for email and calendar items to appear in your client. This is normal.
If you choose to store your email on your device instead of, or in addition to, the online server make sure you are connected to a WiFi connection before continuing to avoid using cellular data.
- Open the Mail App for macOS. if you do not have any email accounts configured, you will be presented with a selection of email account providers.
- Click on Microsoft Exchange.
- Click Continue.
- Skip to Step 5.
- Click on Mail in the menu bar.
- Click on Account....
- Click on Microsoft Exchange.
- Enter your NetID@tamu.edu.
- Click Sign In.
- Click Sign In on the Sign In on the Microsoft Exchange window in order to authenticate using Modern Authentication. DO NOT click Configure Manually.
- Click on Work or school account. You should be taken to the Modern Authentication login window.
- Enter your NetID password.
- Click Sign in.
- Authenticate using Duo.
- Choose what information you want to sync (mail, contacts, calendar, etc.).
- Click Done.

How to check application version
- Open the Mail app.
- Click on Mail in the menu bar.
- Click About Mail.
The version will be listed below the application name.
