Managing Goals

Overview
The Plan stage of the PCER (Plan, Coach, Evaluate, Reward) model of Performance Management supports the ongoing management of performance goals in Workday.  These goals are typically written using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound) framework and may be created, updated, reviewed, or canceled as business needs change.  Use this service request to ask questions about managing performance goals in Workday, including creation, updates, and cancellations.
Use this service request to ask questions about:
  • Creating Performance Goals: Guidance on writing SMART goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
  • Managing Existing Goals: Assistance with updating, revising, or reviewing goals in Workday.
  • Canceling Goals in Workday: Support with canceling goals that are no longer applicable or were created in error.
Eligibility
This service is available to staff employees and supervisors who are participating in or supporting the Staff Performance Evaluation process.
