Overview
PaperCut is the service Texas A&M Health students use to access on-campus printers at the various Texas A&M Health locations. Faculty and staff use PrinterLogic, and documentation for this service can be found here.
In order to have funds added you MUST have logged into papercut first with your TAMU email address and password as detailed below.
PaperCut - Web Print
The WebPrint system allows students to print to the printers at Texas A&M Health from their personal laptops, tablets, and other personal devices (iOS and Android) without installing drivers. It works by offering a facility to upload documents using a standard web browser. Access Web Print from the print system at http://papercut.ad.tamhsc.edu
- Navigate to papercut.ad.tamhsc.edu in your web browser and log in with your NetID@tamu.edu and your NetID password.
- Select the Web Print link in the navigation menu on the left.
- The front page contains a list of your active and recently submitted Web Print jobs.
- Click Submit a Job to start the Web Print wizard.
- The first step of the Web Print wizard is selecting a printer where your job will be printed.
- Most jobs will use "PaperCut Duplex."
- This will allow you to pick up your print job at any multi-function printer and will print double-sided to save paper.
- If you require single-sided print, select "PaperCut Single-Sided."
- Next, select the number of copies to print.
- The final step in the Web Print wizard is to upload a document to print.
- Once you have selected a document and clicked Upload & Complete, the file uploads to the server.
- Once the document upload is complete you are returned to the front Web Print page.
- The table now displays the status of your job. Jobs can be queued and printed at your leisure.
- The status updates to reflect the job’s progress from rendering to printing. Job details, such as cost and number of pages, are added as they become available.
- You can stay on this page to track the status of this job, navigate away, or close the browser. The job will not be affected.
- Once you have queued your jobs, go to any HSC PaperCut printer (usually in or around computer labs or libraries) to release your print jobs.
- Additionally, you can release the jobs from the web portal, but the jobs released by this method will not be held and could be picked up by another person at the printer.
Using PaperCut Printing Software
Use the PaperCut embedded application to release print jobs and use the copier on a multi-function device (MFD).
To release your print job, ensure you have uploaded and printed it from your device using Web Print at papercut.ad.tamhsc.edu.
- Log in to the PaperCut application on the Ricoh multi-function device (MFD) by tapping the ID Number button and entering your UIN number into the PaperCut login screen using the on-screen keyboard. If you do not know your UIN number, you can choose to log in with the Username and Password option instead. Enter AUTH\YourNetID and your NetID password to log in.
Note: If the control panel has automatically dimmed and is in sleep mode, tap the center of the screen once to wake up the device.
Note: If the PaperCut login screen is not displayed, tap the PaperCut icon on the home screen to open the PaperCut login screen.
Option #1 – To release all pending print jobs
- Press the Print All button.
- If you are done, log out by pressing the Log Out button on the screen.
Option #2 – To release only specific print jobs
- Press the Print Release button
- On the Print release screen, check the box for each job you want to print.
- Click the Print button.
If you are done, log out by pressing the Log Out button on the screen. Otherwise, press the back arrow button on the screen to return to the PaperCut action screen.
Important Note: Remember to logout of PaperCut. Any copies made during a PaperCut session are charged to the person logged in. If a PaperCut session is left active on a multi-function device, then other people can charge copies to the active account — using your print allotment.
